Anastasia Beverly Hills: Subculture Palette

If there has been a controversial eyeshadow palette, it is most certainly the Subculture Palette by Anastasia Beverly Hills. You either love it or hate it.
There are 14 shades with a blend of mattes and shimmers. Looking at this palette is aesthetically pleasing with the beautiful shade combinations and bold colors.

The claim is this palette is crazy pigmented and meant to be used with a light hand. Some are saying they hit pan with just a few uses, because the shadows are so soft. Others say it's perfectly fine. It's also been claimed the shadows blend horribly, blend to nothing or blend to a gray shade.
I've had this palette for about three weeks and have used it about 7 times. There is A LOT of kick up with these shadows - even just gently tapping my brush in the shadows. I don't mind kick up, so this isn't a deal breaker for me. The shadows are very pigmented and I didn't have trouble blending. The only shadow I didn't like was Cube...it had ZERO pigment no matter how much I packed on my brush. I even tried it with MAC Cosmetics Fix Plus.
The palette retails for $42 which is a fair price in my opinion. Any other high end brand selling a palette with 14 shades would be $50 or higher. I am satisfied with mine and I'm happy I purchased it.
Suggestion: Go in gentle and tap off excess shadow. Start with light pigment and deepen as needed.
